Frequently Asked Questions
Everything clients usually ask before sending us a legal or financial document. If your question is not here, our team is one message away.
Our Agency
Who is Jurilingua? +
Jurilingua is a translation company specializing in legal and financial translation for the United States. We have supported attorneys, law firms, insurers, banks and businesses since 2013, and we are a corporate member of the American Translators Association.
Where are you based, and do you cover my area? +
We deliver securely and remotely, which means our coverage is national rather than tied to a single office. We serve clients across the country, from San Francisco to Chicago to New York, and publish dedicated pages for the cities we support, such as our teams for New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
What exactly do you do? +
We translate legal and financial documents between more than 80 languages, and we prepare certified translations that courts, USCIS and other agencies accept. That covers contracts, litigation files, corporate and banking documents, and the personal records that support immigration and family matters.
Why should I choose a specialist rather than a generalist? +
Legal and financial language leaves no room for approximation. A specialist knows the terminology, the formatting conventions and the consequences of a single mistranslated clause, and works to a defined quality process. You can read how we protect accuracy in our quality methodology.
Our Services
Which documents can you translate? +
Contracts and agreements, court and litigation records, patents, corporate and compliance material, insurance and real estate documents, and certified personal records. Two of the most requested are NDA translation and certificate translation.
Do you work with specific industries? +
Yes. We tailor our work to the sectors we know best, with dedicated services for law firms and for banks and financial institutions, among others.
How many languages do you cover? +
More than 80, including Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Arabic, Korean, Russian, French and German. You can see the full range on our languages page, and every project is completed by a translator working into their native language.
Are your certified translations accepted by USCIS and US courts? +
Yes. Each certified translation carries a signed statement of accuracy, is prepared to meet USCIS requirements, and is routinely accepted by federal and state courts. When a matter requires notarization or a particular certification format, we prepare the file accordingly.
Process, Quality & Payment
How do you guarantee quality? +
Every certified project follows a structured workflow with a second linguist reviewing the translation before delivery. The full process, and the industry standards it follows, are described in our methodology.
How fast will I get a quote and a delivery date? +
Most requests receive a reply within 30 minutes during business hours, with a fixed price and a delivery date before any work begins. Rush turnaround is available when a deadline is tight.
How much does it cost and how do I pay? +
Pricing depends on word count, language pair, complexity and turnaround. We provide a clear, itemized quote up front, and payment is straightforward once you approve it. There are no surprises after delivery.
Is my information kept confidential? +
Always. Every document is treated as strictly confidential, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share anything sensitive. For anything you would rather discuss directly, you can reach us through our contact page.
