How Our Prices Are Set
Most of our work is priced per word, because that is the fairest way to reflect the real size of a job. From there, a handful of factors move the final number up or down, and we make all of them visible in your quote rather than burying them.
The main drivers are word count and file format: a clean, editable text costs less to handle than a scanned PDF that has to be rebuilt. The language pair matters too, since rarer combinations draw on a smaller pool of qualified linguists. So does subject complexity, and the difference between straightforward correspondence and dense financial translations for documents such as audited statements or prospectuses is real work that we price honestly.
Two more elements round it out. Document formatting, meaning tables, stamps, seals and multi-column layouts, adds production time, and delivery time shapes the rest: a comfortable deadline sits at the standard rate, while a rush job carries the expedited surcharge. Whether you need a certified legal translator for a single affidavit or ongoing real estate translations across a portfolio, the logic stays the same and the quote stays transparent.
Pricing FAQs
How much does legal translation cost? +
Rates start from around $0.14 per word or $35 per page for standard language pairs, then adjust for complexity, formatting and turnaround. The most accurate answer is always a free, itemized quote based on your actual document.
What are your certified translation rates? +
Certified translation rates may vary depending on the document type and the certification required. Every certified file includes a signed statement of accuracy prepared to meet USCIS and US court requirements, and the price is confirmed in your quote before we start.
Do you offer rush or same-day delivery? +
Yes. When a deadline is tight we offer expedited and, for shorter documents, same-day delivery. Rush turnaround carries a surcharge of 20% on the translation amount, and we confirm the exact delivery time before you commit.
Why is the price quoted per word? +
Per-word pricing reflects the true volume of a job more fairly than a flat fee, so you never overpay for a short document or underfund a large one. For very short, standard files we also offer a simple per-page rate.
Are notarization, apostille and shipping included in the price? +
They are priced separately so you only pay for what you need. Notarization is $25 and a certified hard copy is $10 per page. Apostille and shipping are handled on request, so just contact us and we will fold them into your quote.
